I am constantly looking for highly self-motivated students and researchers to join my group.

Our research interests span Software Engineering, Software Security, AI4SE, Self-evolving Systems, and LLM Agents.

General Requirements

We are looking for students who are self-motivated, passionate about solving challenging problems, and eager to make real-world impacts. In general, successful candidates are expected to have:

  • Solid Computer Science Foundation: Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and/or compilers.
  • Good Communication Skills: Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Research Experience (Bonus): Prior research experience or publications in top-tier conferences/journals is a strong plus.

Currently, we have the following openings for Spring/Fall 2027.

1. Postdoc Researcher (1 Opening)

We are looking for one highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to lead and collaborate on cutting-edge research projects. Candidates should have a strong publication record in top-tier SE/Security/Systems conferences.

2. PhD Students (Multiple Openings)

We have multiple openings for fully-funded PhD students. If you are passionate about building reliable, secure, and intelligent software systems, please reach out. The candidates who previously worked with me as a research assistant or intern will be given priority.

University requirements:

  • Strong English reading, writing, and communication skills. The university requires a minimum language proficiency of IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL 80.
  • GPA ranking in the top 30% of a 985 university or top 10% of a 211 university (or equivalent institutions).
  • Or, first-author publication in a top-tier journal or conference (CCF-A).
  • Or, other prestigious awards with significant recognition (such as competition award).

If these conditions are not met, consider interning with me or applying as a MPhil student first.

3. MPhil Students (Multiple Openings)

We are also recruiting multiple MPhil students. This is a great opportunity to dive deeply into research and gain experience before pursuing a PhD or a research-oriented career.

University requirements:
